Workshops: Winning Your Organisations Support: Marketing and Promotion
This workshop will focus on strategies for librarians, archivists
and other cultural custodians to position themselves as assets to their
organisations. Archives and special collections are not widely understood
even by their host organisations and this session will consider
communication strategies and ways to add value to core organisational
programs to garner support for you, your library, archive or special
collection
Facilitator: Fiona Lange, Lange Hill Marketing
Workshop: Communication through Display and Exhibitions
This practical workshop will address tips for modest DIY displays
through to advice for those staging more substantive exhibitions. Regardless
of an exhibitions size, careful consideration should be given to developing
a theme, design issues, selecting appropriate records and objects, preparing
text and catalogues plus special issues associated with travelling and
digitising exhibitions
Facilitators: Kathy Gargett, State Records of SA; Marie Boland, Enfield and
Port Adelaide Council
