Reliability of sources
The reliability of an information source relates to how trustworthy it is, that is how much you can depend on it to present information factually and honestly. This has a lot to do with who produces the information.
To decide how reliable an information source is you will need to consider questions such as
- is the author or producer of the information identified?
- does the author or producer of the information have the qualifications and/or experience to speak or write on this topic?
- does the information come from an authoritative source?
