Databases are collections of information.
Examples include
- online library catalogues (databases of information about items held by particular libraries)
- bibliographic databases such as MEDLINE, Art Abstracts etc, which may contain links to full text if the full text is not available in the database.
- full text databases such as Academic Search Elite, Business Source Complete, Health Source: Nursing/ Academic Edition etc
