Journals: Locating journals

The Library catalogue will tell you if UniSA Library holds a particular journal. The Library catalogue cannot be used to locate specific journal articles.

The method you use to search for journals or journal articles depends on your starting point. You might:

  • Know the name of the journal OR
  • have a reference or citation to a particular article
    1. Identify the name of the journal (not the article title) eg Liden R C, Wayne S J, Kraimer M L, 2001, 'Managing individual performance in work groups', Human Resource Management, vol.40, no.1, pp.63-72.

Now that you have identified the name of the journal, follow the steps on the next page

    OR you might:

  • have a topic and want to find journal articles about that topic
    1. Use the Library databases. This is covered in module Locate information through databases
