Video instructions

Technical information:

  • Requires Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher - install from the Adobe web site (opens in new window) 
  • The videos are best viewed on a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 or higher
  • You may also find it useful to maximise your browser window - use the F11 key to do this.
  • There are alternative versions depending on your connection speed and if you wish to see captions or not. (Note that on a 56k connection there will be no audio)

Watching the videos

Starting the video

  • If the video does not fill the screen, hit the function key F11 to maximise the screen and to see the navigation options

Audio

  • You will need sound capability to listen to the audio.  Note that on a 56k connection the audio will not be available

Navigating through the video

  • Slide bar 
    Drag the slide bar to move backwards or forwards through the video. Note that when you use the slide bar, the text of the transcript will take a second or two to re-appear
  • Rewind button
    Use this to start the video again at the beginning
  • Pause/Play
    This toggle switch allows you to temporarily stop the video and then restart it
  • Back
    Moves back to the previous slide
  • Forward
    Moves forward to the next slide
  • Fast forward
    This button allows you to move forward at 2x or 4x the normal speed
  • Audio
    This toggle switch turns the audio on or off
  • X (Exit)  
    This will close the video
