Requesting photocopies

The OCLS can provide documents to you which are not available electronically from library resources, but are available from the University Library collection

The OCLS can provide photocopies of

  • articles from print journals held by the University of South Australia Library
  • chapters from books held by the University of South Australia Library
  • conference papers held by the University of South Australia Library

Australian Copyright Act 1968 (opens in new window) allows us to copy one journal article from each issue of the required journal and either 10% or one chapter from a book, whichever is greater.

Methods of requesting

Before submitting your requests make sure that we hold the item(s) by checking the catalogue (opens in new window). Take note of the Call number of the item, its campus location and status.

Requests for items that the library does not hold will be returned

  • use the InterCampus Document Delivery Request form to request documents via email (electronic delivery only to UniSA email account)
  • post (one item per paper request form - requests not in this format will be returned)
  • phone - please provide all relevant details of the article/chapter/conference paper

If you are sending a number of requests please indicate the order of priority.

Delivery Options

Interlibrary Loans - items NOT HELD by the University of South Australia Library

The Interlibrary Loan Service obtains materials from libraries and information agencies locally and worldwide and is available to eligible clients of UniSA (conditions apply to offshore students). Material that is available through Interlibrary Loans includes books, documents from journals and conference papers, reports, theses, and audiovisual items.

All Interlibrary loan requests must be submitted directly to the Interlibrary Loans Service. For further information regarding request and delivery options visit the Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loans Service website
