Welcome to the Library. The Library plays a significant role in supporting the University’s teaching learning and research mission through the provision of relevant information resources and associated services.

Each Academic Division and research concentration of the University has a designated team of librarians who provide training programs in the effective use of information sources and identify resources to support your teaching and research activities. We can provide assistance with new electronic information resources in your area of specialisation, the information literacy needs of your students, and the purchase of new library material. How do I find information for my teaching and research?

The Library provides access to a wide range of information resources, available from its home page.

  • Use Summon (opens in new window) to find information on any topic from the Library's online and print and database collections. Summon simultaneously searches the Library catalogue, UniSA Research Archive and millions of fulltext articles
  • The Catalogue (opens in new window) provides access to all resources available through the Library including print and electronic books, theses, research proposals, journals, audio-visual materials and databases
  • Databases contain references to materials such as journal articles, conference proceedings and theses, in all UniSA disciplines. Full text is available for some materials
  • TopicLaunch provide a launch pad to authoritative, reliable resources and information on a specific topic
  • A-Z list of electronic books and journals (opens in new window) contain a subject and title list of journals available online
  • Google Scholar is a free service for searching scholarly literature. You may be able to link to "Full Text at UniSA" where the Library has an electronic subscription

The Library provides a range of services and resources for students and staff involved in teaching . Contact your Academic Library Services team to discuss resource and teaching needs, such as resources required and the development of online assignment help workshops.

Support for Program Evaluation Reviews and Library Impact Statements

Program Evaluation Review

The Academic Library Services teams can help you prepare for Program Evaluation Reviews or external accreditations by providing detailed information about the training, collections and other services the Library delivers for specific programs.

Library Impact Statement

The Academic Library Services teams will prepare a Library Impact Statement that assesses and reports on the implications of new programs or changes to existing programs. The Library requires 10 working days from receipt of the program documentation to complete Impact Statements. The Statement will cover physical and electronic resources required and any other support services such as training. Costings for establishment and recurrent requirements will be provided.
