  • Aboriginal services From the South Australian State Records, this provides services to Aboriginal people recognising their rights to access personal information held in government records

Organisations

  • Aboriginal Benefits Foundation A not-for-profit organisation aiming to promote “activities, facilities or projects for the benefit or welfare of Aboriginal communities”. The site details these activities
  • Aboriginal organisations in Sydney From the Barani: Indigenous History of Sydney City website, this site provides links to various Sydney Indigenous associations and organisations
  • Central Land Council This is a statutory body of Aboriginal political self-representation, in the Central Australian region.
  • Centre for World Indigenous Studies Research centre, aiming to facilitate cooperation between peoples and nations. Includes information on the association, its activities and an online library
  • Northern Land Council This organisation was established in 1973 to represent traditional Aboriginal landowners and Aboriginal people in NT

Culture

  • Aboriginal Heritage Unit Published by the Australian Museum, this website includes information about Aboriginal spirituality and cultural heritage
  • AusAnthrop Features research and resources on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders from an anthropological perspective. The site includes an online library, discussion forums and links
  • AWABA Created by the University of Newcastle, AWABA provides access to numerous information sources on the indigenous history, culture and languages of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie
  • Stories of the Dreaming Presents full texts of the traditional stories of the aboriginal people, detailing their history and culture

Health and Wellbeing

  • Bringing them home Report of the National Inquiry into the separation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families

Native Title and Reconciliation

  • Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC) ILC is a statutory authority established to assist Indigenous people to acquire and manage land for economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits
  • Indigenous law resources Hosted by AustLii, this is online database provides journal articles, reports and conference papers on law pertinent to Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders
  • Mabo- the native title revolution Overviews the Mabo case and provides information on Koiki Mabo, Torres Strait Islander culture, colonisation, land rights and native title via various media
  • Native Title Tribunal Australian Commonwealth Government agency that mediates native title claims under the direction of the Federal Court of Australia
  • Reconciliation Australia Created by the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation, this site promotes reconciliation and positive relationships between Indigenous and non-indigenous Australians
