Alumni Membership

Alumni membership provides access to the Library’s print collection and limited online resources.

  • Search the Alumni Library Catalogue to find and access available resources.

    Your Alumni Network Card is your Library card. Please use it to borrow at any Campus Library. You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card.

    Contact Advancement Services immediately if your card is lost or stolen.

    Up to 50 items may be borrowed.

  • Membership of the Alumni Network includes access to the online resources listed below. Search the Alumni Library Catalogue to access resources available to you.

    Databases are password protected. You will need to login with your username and password.

    Alumni membership does not provide access to all databases, electronic journals and ebooks as this is determined by the terms of publisher licenses.

    You are welcome to visit any Campus Library and use Guest Access to the internet to access additional electronic resources.

    Databases that can be accessed by Alumni include:

    • Gale Virtual Reference Library 
      A database of full text encyclopedias, almanacs and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Access is provided to titles the Library has purchased.
    • Project MUSE (full text, abstracts)
      Provides access to full text journals published by Johns Hopkins University Press and other university presses in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics.
    • Proquest Central (full text, abstracts, and indexes)
      Provides access to more than 16,000 publications with more than 8,000 available in full text. Covers current international content in over 160 subject areas.
    • RefWorks
      A web-based bibliography and database manager. Create your personal research database by importing references from other databases. Use these references to write papers and automatically format the paper and bibliography.
    • SAGE 
      Provides full text access to over 750 journals and 500,000 articles from the humanities, social sciences, science, technology and medical disciplines. Includes international, peer-reviewed journals, including high-impact research titles.
    • Scopus
      A multidisciplinary database containing records going back to the mid-1960s. Subject areas include: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Psychology, Economics, Biological, Agricultural, Environmental and General Sciences.
  • DOAJ: Directory of open access journals
    Covers free, full text, scientific and scholarly journals and aims to cover all subjects and languages.

    The National Library of Medicine's free search service that provides access to over 25 million citations from MEDLINE, and other related databases. Citations may include links to full text content.

    Subject Guides
    Find relevant professional associations, free resources, journals and other scholarly resources, and professional development opportunities across a wide range of subject areas. Not all linked content is available to Alumni.

    Research Outputs Repository
    A digital archive of research publications including journal articles, conference papers, books and book chapters authored by UniSA staff. Theses completed by UniSA students are available; many in full text.
