Join in many free events for Law Week exploring Law and Justice in your Community
Law Week takes place throughout Australia in May each year to promote greater community understanding of the legal system and justice related issues. National Law Week runs from Monday 14th May - Sunday 20 May 2012.

- Tales from the West End : a historic journey, City West Library, 1 May - 31 July 2012
From boilermakers, stockyards and breweries to a modern university campus supporting world class educational excellence. Experience a journey from the beginnings of the site and surrounds of the West End precinct of UniSA. Learn about the site’s colourful history and view the architectural designs for the construction of the City West campus and the plans for its future expansion.
- Lillian de Lissa: pioneer of preschool education, Magill Library, 1 May - 31 July 2012
Lillian de Lissa was appointed director of the first South Australian kindergarten in 1906 - aged 21. In 1907 the Kindergarten Teachers College was founded with Lillian as Principal, a position she retained until 1917. This exhibition showcases the archival collection of the de Lissa Association of Early Childhood Graduates - the alumni association for the College and subsequent institutions.
- Salt of the earth: preventing iodine deficiency disorders, City East Library, 21 May - 12 August 2012
The exhibition celebrates Dr Hetzel’s 90th birthday and highlights his numerous achievements, particularly the establishment of the International Council for the Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (ICCIDD).
Born in London, Dr Hetzel has spent most of his life in Adelaide but his vision and influence stretch beyond geographical boundaries. In the 1960s his team identified the link between iodine deficiency and brain damage. The global prevention of this problem became his life's work and helped improve the lives of millions of people worldwide.
