Information Literacy Standards: New edition

The Australian and New Zealand Information literacy framework: principles, standards and practice: Revised second edition of Information Literacy Standards. The first edition was derived form the US Information literacy standards for higher education approved by the Association of College and Research Libraries in January 2000, and subsequently endorsed by the American Association for Higher Education and US accreditation bodies.
The first edition is being used in a wide range of Australian educational contexts, has been endorsed by academic committees of a number of universities, has been translated into Spanish and Bahasa Indonesia and is being used in Ireland.

The revised edition is based on input from university and VET sector librarians from around Australian and New Zealand and the outcomes of workshop of more than fifty academic and librarians who had used the first edition.
Of particular interest in this new edition are two papers one is by Lupton, entitled Curriculum assignment and assessment of information literacy: The other is Standards, curriculum and learning: implications for professional development, by Peacock.
