To ensure compliance with its copyright obligations and to reduce the University's exposure to the risks associated with the use of third party copyrighted materials, it is University policy that all online course materials containing copyright protected works are registered with the Digital Resource Service.

Licences
In addition to copyright regulations, the University of South Australia has signed licence agreements with many of our suppliers of electronic books and journals. These licences override copyright and determine what can and can't be reproduced and how the material may be used.
