Welcome to the Digital Resource Service
The Digital Resource Service provides access to digitised content required for teaching learning programs. As part of this service we
- check whether a reading is available from the Library’s electronic collections
- check whether a reading can be digitised
- centrally register anything digitised under the University’s copyright licence
- provide access to all readings through the Library Catalogue. (opens in new window)
All online course materials containing copyright protected works must be registered with the Digital Resource Service. To make a Digitisation Request use the Digitisation request form or email DRS@unisa.edu.au
eReaders
An eReader is a collection of digitised readings for a specific course. Readings can include book chapters, journals and other print publications as well as links to eJournal articles, eBooks and content on websites.
Readings are accessed via:
- The course eReader link in the left hand menu on your course website on UniSAnet
- The High Demand Collection via the Library Catalogue
- Searching the Library Catalogue
Access to digitised material is only available to University of South Australia staff and students.
Digitisation of print readers
All print readers are digitised as part of the University’s reader process. This ensures compliance with government legislation and University guidelines. See Document Services Student readers website for more information on the reader process.
Readers on CDROM
Readers provided to students on CDROM fall under digital copyright law and must be approved as copyright compliant by the Digital Resource Service before production by Document Services.
eDocuments
The eDocuments Collection has similar materials as the eReader collection, but for readings only required for short period of time such as a single study period. The Collection also includes past exam papers, lecture notes and solutions to tutorials.
eDocuments are only available through the High Demand Collection via the Library catalogue. For more information see eDocuments.
