The role of the Flexible Information Service is to support your university studies and research by facilitating access to the Library's extensive range of information resources and services. Quality assurance guidelines ensure that our service delivery is timely and convenient
We provide
- phone and online assistance in the use of the Library's resources and services
- electronic document delivery to your desk top
- postal delivery of loan items* and documents
*If in your course information a book has been identified as a text book the University expects you to acquire your own copy
Who can use the service?
- external students of UniSA (must be enrolled in external mode for all courses for current Study Period)
- transnational offshore students
- internal students attending programs offered at the Mount Gambier Regional Centre
- students with a disability
- elite athletes studying at UniSA
- Open Universities Australia (opens in new window) students studying units offered by UniSA
- University of South Australia staff engaged in rural, remote and offshore locations
- remote students living outside the metropolitan area (enrolled in internal, online or directed studies) need to apply using this form.
Do I need to register and is there a cost?
- you don't have to register to use the service and there is no charge to you
- students:
- must be enrolled for the current Study Period
- services restricted to the current Study Period
- requests for books and documents will be automatically processed and forwarded to the current address supplied to the University
- staff:
- must have a current HR record and University Network account
- must contact the Flexible Information Service (FIS) prior to requesting items, to confirm their postal delivery address
How do we contact you?
Library notices and other correspondence are sent to UniSA email accounts only. All students including OUA must organise a redirection to receive correspondence at an alternative email address.
Change of contact details
It is important that you inform the University of your current address at all times. If you wish to change your address/contact information or use an alternative address for FIS deliveries:
- students :
- must update their "mailing address" via myUniSA
- contact the FIS to update their "term" address for library records
- staff :
- should contact the FIS to make arrangements
