Search Hints

  • Keyword searches
Enter all terms you want to see in the retrieved records. Terms are automatically combined with the word AND. To include records where only some of your search terms occur, choose Yes for the relevance-like search. Results are sorted alphabetically by title (with most relevant first). If you don't see records you expect, check near the top of the results page. If a word that you really want is ignored because the count is too high, use the 'ignore words' option above to include it. If a word is ignored because it is 'not found', check your spelling.

  • Course Reserves:
Enter the lecturer's last name or the course code with no space. e.g. biol239

  • Title, Author, Subject and Call-number searches
Enter as much of the title (or author or subject) as you know. Results are sorted by the title, author, subject, or call-number, as appropriate.
