Guidelines for the acceptance of theses and other works

The Library includes in its collection high quality scholarship authored by students of the University of South Australia in the following categories:

Doctoral, masters degrees by research and research professional doctorates

  • One print copy is added to the David Murray Collection and is available only for consultation in the Library
  • Digital copies are to be deposited using the UniSA Research Archive online deposit
  • The preferred format is PDF

Coursework professional doctorates

  • The Library will accept print copies of work at this level although it is not mandatory
  • One print copy is added to the David Murray Collection and available only for consultation in the Library
  • A digital copy will be considered for inclusion in the collection after the library confers with the supervisor or Head of School
  • Digital copies are to be deposited using the UniSA Research Archive online deposit
  • The preferred format is PDF

Masters by coursework theses

  • The Library does not collect print copies of work at this level.
  • A digital copy will be considered for inclusion in the collection after the library confers with the supervisor or Head of School
  • Digital copies are to be deposited using the UniSA Research Archive online deposit
  • The preferred format is PDF

Honours and other final year Projects

  • The Library does not collect print copies of work at this level.
  • A digital copy will be considered for inclusion in the collection only when:
    • A School requests that the work is held as an exemplar
    • The work relates to major research projects of the University
    • The work relates to the history or development of the University
    • The work relates to South Australia as part of the University's community mission
  • Digital copies only are to be deposited using the UniSA Research Archive online deposit
  • All digital submissions must have the approval of the supervisor or Head of School
  • The preferred format is PDF
