Using Other Libraries in person:

South Australian libraries

A reciprocal borrowing scheme exists between the libraries of the three universities in South Australia. Under this arrangement current students and staff members of the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Flinders University are automatically entitled to borrow from the other two university libraries

University Library Australia

University Library Australia (opens in new window) is national borrowing scheme that allows staff and students of participating universities to borrow from any other university library in the scheme. We encourage you to consult their websites before visiting the library

Using Other Libraries online:

Libraries Australia

Libraries Australia provides online access to the national database of material held in Australian libraries, known as the National Bibliographic Database. UniSA staff and students can search for any item and locate which library in Australia holds it

Libraries Australia can also be found by doing a title search of the library's catalogue (opens in new window) or by selecting from the database list.

Other library websites and catalogues

You can also search other library catalogues and websites anywhere in the world

Requesting from other libraries

Interlibrary Loans - for items NOT HELD by the University of South Australia Library

The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Service obtains material from libraries and information agencies locally and worldwide. Material that is available through Interlibrary Loan and Documant Delivery includes books, documents from journals and conference papers, reports, theses, and audiovisual items. This service is restricted to UniSA staff, Higher Degree by Research students and other approved clients by arrangement with Academic Library Services

All interlibrary loan requests must be submitted directly to the Interlibrary Loans and Document Delivery Service. For further information regarding request and delivery options visit the Interlibrary Loans and Document Delivery website

Due to restrictions imposed by lending libraries, books and other loan items cannot be sent to students and staff living outside of Australia. However, we can supply photocopies of book chapters and journal articles
