Alumni library services
Many graduates find that after completing their university studies they still need access to the Library for information relating to their jobs, roles in the community or for areas of interest.
As graduates of the University of South Australia, you are able to continue to access UniSA Library services once your program of studies is complete for a small annual fee. This includes in person access to almost one million print and electronic resources.
Library membership is valid for 12 months from the date of application. Benefits include borrowing rights and remote access to selected electronic databases. Access to these databases is for 2009 only.

After submitting this registration and payment, your library card will be posted to you if you have selected the borrow in person option. You will receive User Names and Passwords for access to the selected databases, which will be sent via email. (access to UniSA Network not included.)

Academic Search Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides full text for more than 3,180 journals as well as indexing and abstracting for more than 8,000 journals. The database offers information in nearly every area of academic study including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, religion & theology, and more. Academic Search Alumni Edition also includes valuable peer-reviewed full text journals, offering critical information from many sources.

ARROW is a new digital archive of the research publications of UniSA staff. It includes records for journal articles, conference papers, books and book chapters authored by UniSA staff. The archive currently contains approximately 10,000 records. All theses completed by UniSA students and available via the Australian Digital Thesis project ADT (opens in new window)have also been included. Business Source Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides more than 1,530 full text business magazines and journals, of which 771 are peer-reviewed. This database includes publications in nearly every area of business including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance, econometrics, economics and more. Business Source Alumni Edition includes full text sources ranging from general periodicals to trade publications and top management journals. Additional full text sources include country economic reports, industry reports, market research reports, company profiles and more.

- DOAJ : Directory of open access journals (opens in new window)
The Directory of Open Access Journals service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. It aims to cover all subjects and languages. There are now 1624 journals in the directory with some 409 journals searchable at article level. Open access journals are defined as journals that use a funding model that does not charge readers or their institutions for access, though free online registration may be required.

Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of full text encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Access is provided to titles which the Library has purchased. All books can be searched simultaneously or individually. Searches can also be limited to specific subject areas. - PubMed (opens in new window)
PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's search service that provides access to over 15 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases, with links to online journals.

RefWorks is an online service used to create a personal database of bibliographic citations by importing the citations from other online databases. Citations may be automatically formatted for bibliography and footnotes and may be searched within your personal database.

Scopus is a multidisciplinary navigational tool that contains records going back to the mid 1960s, offering newly-linked citations across a body of scientific abstracts. Subject areas covered include: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Psychology, Economics, Biological, Agricultural, Environmental and General Sciences.
