  • UniSA Research Archive (opens in new window)
    UniSA Research Archive is a new digital archive of the research publications of UniSA staff. It includes records for journal articles, conference papers, books and book chapters authored by UniSA staff. The archive currently contains approximately 10,000 records. All theses completed by UniSA students and available via the Australian Digital Thesis project ADT have also been included. Full text is available for many of these records.
  • DOAJ : Directory of open access journals (opens in new window)
    The Directory of Open Access Journals service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. It aims to cover all subjects and languages. There are now 1624 journals in the directory with some 409 journals searchable at article level. Open access journals are defined as journals that use a funding model that does not charge readers or their institutions for access, though free online registration may be required.

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library (opens in new window)
    Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of full text encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Access is provided to titles which the Library has purchased. All books can be searched simultaneously or individually. Searches can also be limited to specific subject areas.
  • Project MUSE (full text, abstracts) - New in 2011 (opens in new window)
    Searchable database that provides access to the full text of journals published by Johns Hopkins University Press and other university presses in the humanities, social sciences, and mathematics. Covers such fields as literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, and others
  • Proquest Central (full text, abstracts, indexes) – New in 2011 (opens in new window)
    Provides access to more than 11,000 publications. More than 8,000 of the publications are available in full text. Covers current and international content in over 160 subject areas such as: business and economics; medical and health; news and world affairs; science; education; technology; humanities; social sciences; psychology; literature; law; and, women's studies.     PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's search service that provides access to over 15 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases, with links to online journals.

  • RefWorks (opens in new window)
    RefWorks is an online service used to create a personal database of bibliographic citations by importing the citations from other online databases. Citations may be automatically formatted for bibliography and footnotes and may be searched within your personal database.

    Scopus is a multidisciplinary navigational tool that contains records going back to the mid 1960s, offering newly-linked citations across a body of scientific abstracts. Subject areas covered include: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Psychology, Economics, Biological, Agricultural, Environmental and General Sciences.
