Community borrowers

Community borrowers including SACE students and Gold Pass members
Who can borrow?
  • Members of the community including SACE students. An annual charge of $110 applies.
  • Members of the community in Whyalla - no charge applies.
  • Gold Pass members – by recommendation of the Director Library Services
  • Other Community borrowers - ask at the desk
How do I register? Presentation of photo identification including your full name and current address to the Desk
How do I borrow? For loans always bring your borrower’s card
What can I borrow? Main collection 14 day items including TRC - Subject to recall. Up to 4 renewals
How much can I borrow? Up to 20 items at any one time
What cannot be borrowed?
  • Journals
  • Reference Collection
  • High Demand Collection
  • Short Term loans - 4 hour and 4 day
  • Flexible Information Service (FIS) Core Collection
Lost or stolen borrowers cards Please let Library staff know immediately if your card is lost or stolen. You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card
Returning books You are responsible for the return of books to the Library from which you borrowed them. See: Returns
Special conditions and restrictions Access to some electronic databases is provided through the Walk Up Terminal at each campus. Further information about guest access to the internet in the Library is available

No access to:
  • Remote online access to licensed resources
  • Interlibrary Loans
  • Intercampus Document Request Service

Alumni borrowers

For graduates of the University of South Australia and its antecedent institutions.
Who can borrow? Members of the University of South Australia Alumni Network.
How do I register? To join the UniSA Alumni Network and receive a Network card complete the online registration form
To register for Alumni library services, Alumni members need to apply using this form (PDF 92kb, opens in new window).

Present the completed registration form, photo identification and your Network Card from UniSA Alumni to the Desk

  • Borrowing privileges - $33 annual fee
  • Premium membership (Borrowing privileges and online access to selected databases) - $99 annual fee
  • Alumni Library membership is valid for 12 months from the date of application.
How do I renew my membership? To renew your library membership, complete this form (PDF 92kb, opens in new window). Indicate the level of membership you are applying for and that your application is a "Renewal". Payment options are Cash (at the desk) Credit card or Cheque (by fax or post)
How do I borrow? By "in person" borrowing  only - always bring your library borrowing card

  • Academic Search Alumni edition
  • Business Source Alumni edition
  • Gale Virtual Reference Library
  • RefWorks

No access to:

  • Interlibrary Loans
  • Intercampus Document Request Service
  • Flexible Information Service - postal delivery of loan items
