For students on Professional Experience Placement, Fieldwork or Practicum, the normal borrowing conditions for library items apply.
If you are about to go on Professional Experience Placement, Fieldwork or Practicum and your books are due, please ensure you do one of the following
- Return your items before you go and re-borrow them, to maximize the number of renewals potentially available (4)
- Renew your items online via the library catalogue (opens in new window) or My record
- Renew your items by ringing the Library on 1300 137659 (local call)
To avoid demerit points and library fees, renew or return all library items by the due date
The loan period of an item may not be renewed if
- another borrower is waiting for it
- you have exceeded your maximum number of renewals
- you have exceeded the maximum number of loans
- you have exceeded 60 or more demerit points or blocked from borrowing

Metropolitan Placement
While you are on Professional Experience Placement, Fieldwork or Practicum in the metropolitan area
Before items are overdue, renew them online or contact Ask the Library service on 1300 137659 (local call). If they cannot be renewed, they need to be returned. All metropolitan campuses have an after hours return chute. To access the Mawson Lakes return chute after hours, you will need to get your University ID card encoded at the security office (Building A)
