Aboriginal Peoples are advised the Library Collection contains images, voices and names of deceased people in physical and online resources.

The Library recognises the significance of the traditional cultural knowledges contained within its Collection. The Library acknowledge some materials contain language that may not reflect current attitudes, was published without consent or recognition, or, is offensive. These materials reflect the views of the authors and/or the period in which they were produced and do not represent the views of the Library.

Important upcoming library changes

As part of the transition to Adelaide University, there are a range of changes to Library services during December and early January that may impact you.

While we’re working hard to keep disruptions to a minimum, some changes will require your action to ensure your preferences and saved content are retained.

Key changes to note

Borrowing

  • 15 to 23 December: Borrowing (including laptops & iPads) only available during library staffed hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm).
  • 24 December – 4 January: No borrowing available.

Requests

  • 11 December – 4 January: Requests will be paused, with no requesting from both University of Adelaide and University of South Australia libraries (including items held offsite at Joint Store/URRSA).
  • 6 December – 4 January: Interlibrary loan requests from other libraries paused.

Databases and resources

  • If you use any of the systems listed below, you’ll need to take action to retain your preferences. Information on how to do this is available in the Getting Ready for 2026 library guide.

The systems include:

  • EndNote
  • Library databases (like Web of Science, Scopus)
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • eBooks
  • Course Readings
  • Covidence (for UniSA students)
