Reno at MLK Library!

If you've been to Mawson Lakes Library lately, you might have noticed that the furniture on Level 2 has disappeared. That’s because exciting changes are coming—Level 2 is being turned into a brand-new Study Hub! The new hub will have quiet and group study areas, rooms for teaching and meetings, and a yarning circle. Construction starts in early October and should be finished by Study Period 2 in 2026.

While the renovations are happening:

  • Group study spaces will move to Level 3.
  • A quiet study space will temporarily move to the SCT Building (Rooms SCT1-01/08), starting Monday 29 September.
  • The SCT Quiet Study Zone will be open 8am–6pm on weekdays and 10am–6pm on weekends.

Want a sneak peek? Photos below and head to Level 3 to check out the 3D video of the new design on the big screen near the printer!
