Aboriginal Peoples are advised the Library Collection contains images, voices and names of deceased people in physical and online resources.

The Library recognises the significance of the traditional cultural knowledges contained within its Collection. The Library acknowledge some materials contain language that may not reflect current attitudes, was published without consent or recognition, or, is offensive. These materials reflect the views of the authors and/or the period in which they were produced and do not represent the views of the Library.

New Textbook Checker

You can now easily check the availability of your textbooks! The Library has released a new form to help ensure your course materials are easily accessible free of charge for students.

The form takes just a couple of minutes to complete. If the textbook is not available for the Library to purchase with unlimited access, simply select your preferred alternative. We will then search on your behalf for resources, including:

  • Open educational resources such as open textbooks and other resources which are free to use, share, print, and customise. Some include additional teaching resources.
  • Alternative ebook titles with an unlimited-user licence.
  • Topic-level readings to use instead of a textbook, such as journal articles, book chapters, videos, podcasts, interactive simulations, and other media.
