Theme: Access to Services - Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies
This year, World Mental Health Day invites communities around the globe to reflect on the urgent need for accessible mental health support, especially in times of crisis and emergency. The theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, highlights the growing challenges triggered by global catastrophes and the importance of ensuring help reaches those who need it most. The Library recognises that raising awareness and mobilising support for mental wellbeing is a shared responsibility, one that begins with fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for both students and staff.
At the Library, we believe mental wellbeing is foundational to academic success and personal growth. In recognition of World Mental Health Day, we’re spotlighting resources and activities that support our students and staff:
As a UniSA student in Australia, you have access to confidential, short-term counselling services. These services provide valuable support for your mental health and wellbeing, helping you manage any challenges that may impact your studies.
UniSA provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offering a confidential counselling service for staff and their immediate families. For support, call 1300 277 924.
Taking care of your mental health is crucial. Let’s continue to support each other and prioritise wellbeing in all that we do!
